Kli Judaica explores the origin of
ancient Jewish symbols through
religious objects designed for the
contemporary home. By connecting
historical artifacts and narratives to
present-day practices, Kli products
are intended to nurture a
cultural dialogue about the role of religion in
the family and society. Translated
literally, kli is the Hebrew word for
vessel, though it also holds romantic
and biblical connotations. As a series,
Kli objects collectively embrace the
evolution of Jewish traditions that
have shifted over time.
The Kli project was born out of wrestling with religion, a pursuit we are obliged to undertake in order to avoid gliding over it with an automatic response. Because interfaith understanding and compassion is at the heart of Kli products, 20% of all profits are donated to the
Interfaith Youth Core.
